I had two bad experiences. First one, the dentist asked me to "chew like a lady." What does that even mean? I spoke to the office manager about this situation and she apologized on behalf of the dentist and everything was settled. Then recently I came back for a cleaning and when making the appointment they did not mention it will be a deep cleaning. I get there and they hand me a bill for $50+ for a deep cleaning. If they told me over the phone, I would not have made the appointment until later in the year because money is tight. When I tell them I am not going to do that and I want a regular cleaning, the hygienist was extremely rude saying she is not going to do my cleaning. I told her I do not have money for this and her response was "that's not my problem." She proceeded to say I am rude when I asked her well who is going to pay for it are you? She then told me to leave. When I went to the front desk to talk to her, this hygienist followed me out continuing to be rude and telling me to get out. When I asked her her name, she had so much attitude and sarcasm in her voice when she said I'll gladly give you my name because she knew the office manager would back her up. She told me she's the hygienist and she makes the decisions and that I am no longer a patient. I called to speak to the office manager who heard my side of it and then proceeded to tell me that she will speak to Dr. Lam (who has been my dentist since I was a kid) and the hygienist and give me a call back. I waited 3 weeks. No call back. I finally called back and the office manager claimed she was with a patient and never called back. They do not care about their patients. They only protect their employees. I am very disappointed in this dental clinic and I do not recommend them. Their form of communication is extremely rude from the first incident to this. I was not going to put a review but when they avoid reaching back out it shows they would rather have the review than chat with me about the situation. If they were thorough with their communication over the phone (explaining this will be a deep cleaning not a regular cleaning), I would not have been upset. However, they chose not to disclose that information over the phone. It felt like they were trying to get money out of me and they know if they mention that over the phone the patient may not make the appt. So instead they chose to keep it to themselves until I walked in. Additionally, when someone says they do not have money, most places would start talking about paying later or payment options or financial aid. None of that was discussed with me. It's sad they cannot call their patient back. But after this experience I do not recommend going here. There are MUCH better places in Pleasanton to go to, with nicer staff.

I'm so grateful for Dr. Lam and his amazing staff! From the hygienists to the front desk lady, they are so welcoming and willing to help. I didn't want to admit how much anxiety I had visiting a dentist office, but all of my worries and confusions decipitated as soon as I talked to the doctor. It's been years since I've felt empathy or felt heard by medical staff. The building is very clean and my wait time has never been more than 5 minutes! Absolutely recommend!

Had my 4 wisdom teeth removed finally! Because of my age I was given “worst case scenario” for each tooth which was understandable and peaked my anxiety but the laughing gas definitely helped ease my worries. During the procedure I was calmly told the sounds I was about to hear (cracking, etc.). Had my teeth removed a little after 10am, picked up my medication from my pharmacy right after and was back at work by 7pm the same day with no further issues. Everyone was friendly and professional, thanks again!

I found Persimmon Dental Care through positive online reviews, so I thought it my good duty to add my review. 🙂 All the staff are so nice, and Dr. Giang is soo knowledgeable and patient in explaining everything and answering questions. Had 3 fillings done today by Dr. Giang, and while of course I was dreading it, it went as well as it could have, it was very reassuring to understand what was going on, and was a very well done application of local anesthesia so I felt nothing. So thankful that they take Delta Dental's basic plan (our previous dental office, which we loved, only allowed the premiere plan to cover 100% of cleanings and exams, so it was too expensive for us). So thankful for access to excellent dental care in the neighborhood! Thank you!

I love this place! I had an emergency dental need recently and everyone at Persimmon Dental Care took such good care of me! Kindness matters and this crew has that element which goes a loooong way whenever you have dental situations. THANK YOU!! My family and I have been seeing Dr Lam for years since gentle dental. His office team squeezed me in after 4th of July weekend when I was in so much pain for my wisdom teeth coming in. They got me in the next day and I was in and out in 15 min with medication to get me through until I could schedule my procedure. I had a very good experience at the dental office. Safety measures are in place so I felt very safe. The staff and Dr. Lam are very friendly and make sure you are comfortable. I was able to watch the Food Channel while awaiting my teeth cleaning and exam. The operator ones are modern and very clean and the dental hygienist cleaned everything with alcohol as she proceeded with the X-rays and teeth cleaning. This was a very positive experience and I already made my next appointment. I am a very picky person and worry about pain and overall cleanliness and there was no reason for any concern.

My family and I have been patients of Dr Lam for many years and I can't imagine seeing anyone else. He's by far the best dentist I've had in my 62 yrs! He's extremely knowledgeable, thorough, uses up to date equipment, office is extremely spotless and they sanitize after each patient. If you have fears due to the current contagious pandemic, I feel you are 100% safe and will feel comfortable with him and his staff.

Superb bedside manner. Dr. Lam shows the x-rays on the overhead screen and explains to me what I need to work on and improve. He is very patient and ask if I have any questions or concerns. I've been seeing him for years and I would follow him where every he goes because I know that it's hard to find a good dentist. Since I've found him, I have looked no where else. I came for a clean-up after a couple of years and they were very helpful. I needed a root canal, which I have never had but heard horror stories about. My experience was great with my root canal, no pain! Super clean facility and great staff. Definitely recommend this place to everyone in the area.

Great experience every time I come here. I also bring my 3 kids and they do a great job working with the kids. Dr Giang is so kind and you can tell he really cares about his patients. He takes the time to discuss any concerns and never appears rushed to move on to the next patient. They are always running on time with their appointments and I love the flexibility when it comes to getting put on the waiting list. I've used it several times to try to get a better time and they are great about calling me and fitting me in when they get a cancellation. Nita is very detailed and super attentive with re-applying Vaseline on my lips to make sure they didn't dry out. Dr. Giang is amazing at what he does... detailed, informative, personable & human. I feel very comfortable and well-taken care by Dr. Giang and his amazing team and highly recommend this place! Tip: give yourself extra time to find a parking spot. The parking lot gets super packed!

Today I walked into Persimmon Dental Care for the first time with an excruciatingly painful, infected and exposed wisdom tooth. After calling and being refused by at least 7 dentists and oral surgeons for an emergency extraction, I felt completely helpless. After hearing from multiple oral surgeons that I would first need x-rays, and having had a great referral from our family's trusted orthodontist (Olympic Orthodontics), I called Persimmon Dental Care, who took my call and agreed to see me within the hour! I immediately felt such a boost of morale and relief knowing that someone finally wanted to help me get out of the immense and unrelenting pain I was in! Dr. Giang saw me immediately once I arrived, took x-rays, and laid out my options clearly and unbiased (not swaying me one way or another -- I have had dentists with hidden agendas in the past, Dr. Giang is not one of those!). After patiently allowing me to come to a decision Dr. Giang agreed to extract my exposed wisdom tooth on the spot and set me up with an appointment with an oral surgeon to extract the 3 wisdom teeth that were still impacted in my gums. In the hours following I was absolutely thrilled that I made this decision. I would never have guessed that pulling out a gigantic wisdom tooth that had caused me so much pain would have been so easy. It took seconds! Dr. Giang and the rest of the amazing staff at Persimmon Dental Care put my mind at ease, made me laugh, and most importantly took my pain away. Being that there was no anesthesia involved (only novacaine), I could not have built up the courage to take this leap of faith without their warmth, compassion, and sincerity. I will absolutely be referring my family and friends to Dr. Giang in the future! THANK YOU PERSIMMON DENTAL CARE!

Overall great service! They make sure you get the right treatment and flexible to work with your schedule. I only had less than a month to do two crowns before current benefit expired and they managed that no problem. The entire treatment procedure was easy. Very open and honest about payment like what you need to pay and what not. Dr. Giang is chill and funny, and knows what he's doing. He will tell you all the risk upfront so don't panic. Anyways, HIGHLY recommend if you want to treat your mouth good!

The atmosphere is very modern and Dr. Giang uses top of the line equipment that I have never seen at other offices. He is open every other saturdays which is extremely hard to find in the Bay Area. I brought my two kids to see Dr. Giang. They had a great experience, watched TV the whole time, and chose an item out of the toy box. The sweet clay giraffe figurine my daughter chose and painted is so beautiful that it's in our display cabinet as a treasured art piece. I even sent Sandra (the kind receptionist) a picture of it. So I signed up for an appt and discovered Dr. Giang is also very thorough in explaining what's going to happen, which I really appreciate. So far I've gotten crowns and cleanings and have been very happy with them. And I get to watch HGTV while they work. Sandra accommodates my request for a text the day before the appt. The hygienists are also kind and professional. I asked if they had a blanket (I was cold) and she brought it and made sure I was comfortable before she started. So then my husband signed up. He and I agree that, although we have been to some wonderful dentists, Dr. Giang and his staff are the best. We look forward to being with them for a long time.

I painfully drove +200 miles & +3.5 hours later to one of his offices and he was able to quickly determined the best treatment plan & extracted my tooth - I was so relieved and thankful for his dedicated care. Some other less experienced dentist might have sent to you a specialist and kept you in pain longer but I am glad that Dr. Giang is on my health care team instead. If you are looking for a world-class dentist, Dr. Charles Giang is a great dentist to take care of you!

Dr.Giang and team are awesome! They have a cozy waiting area with a “mini bar” always filled with water bottles, coffee, etc. I never had to wait to be seen. Dr. Giang is nice, honest, sincere, and professional. He is easy to talk to and surprisingly understands what you say while getting work done.:) He explains in detail if he is concerned about something with your teeth and provides options to help you keep your teeth healthy. He’s actually caught a couple things that previous dentists missed to bring to my attention which I too, was seeking for explanation.

I'll admit the dentist can be a scary place for most people. It's hard to find a really good dentist who is able to do the right thing without making you do an unnecessary procedure. If your looking for that then you have the wrong place because you won't find that here at Persimmon Dental office. Dr. Charles T. Giang is very knowledgeable and takes pride in what he does. You can see how he really cares for his patients. I came to see Dr. Charles after I was told I needed a root cannel by another dentist (I needed a second opinion). My tooth had been hurting for so long and I couldn't bare it anymore. The other dentist just seemed as though he wasn't looking out for my best interest. But Dr. Charles was able to identify that it was my wisdom tooth that needed to be extracted. Within a few minutes he had extracted my wisdom tooth (no pain!). I was really impressed because I didn't have that experience my first time when I had my other two taken out many years ago by another dentist. His staff is extremely friendly and go above any beyond as well. Lida is my favorite, I love her personality so I especially like to go on days when she's there! I have finally found the dentist I had been looking for and I always look forward to my appointments because the dentist isn't a scary place anymore! 🙂

I truly appreciated how much time he spent with me. In the past, I rarely spent more than 10min with the dentist. He spent 40+ minutes talking to me and to make sure I was comfortable. If you are looking for the best and most conscientious possible care for your teeth, then Persimmon Dental should be at the top of your list. The Persimmon Dental Group is recent to me, but Dr. Mike is not. I've been going to him for about 15 years now, and he has always delivered great care with a very gentle touch. Additionally, his commitment to perfection means that I KNOW I will not be leaving without a perfect finish to the experience, which will include the procedure itself and some follow-up suggestions for care after the treatment. Additionally, the diagnostic equipment and the assistants at the office are top-notch, further reinforcing the notion that this organization is FULLY committed to the highest level of care, from staying current on the latest diagnostic and imaging technologies to the best possible staffing. On a daily basis, I am responsible for taking good care of my teeth and gums. On a macro level, I am happy to let Persimmon Dental take good care of them - and they do it well.

I had two bad experiences. First one, the dentist asked me to "chew like a lady." What does that even mean? I spoke to the office manager about this situation and she apologized on behalf of the dentist and everything was settled. Then recently I came back for a cleaning and when making the appointment they did not mention it will be a deep cleaning. I get there and they hand me a bill for $50+ for a deep cleaning. If they told me over the phone, I would not have made the appointment until later in the year because money is tight. When I tell them I am not going to do that and I want a regular cleaning, the hygienist was extremely rude saying she is not going to do my cleaning. I told her I do not have money for this and her response was "that's not my problem." She proceeded to say I am rude when I asked her well who is going to pay for it are you? She then told me to leave. When I went to the front desk to talk to her, this hygienist followed me out continuing to be rude and telling me to get out. When I asked her her name, she had so much attitude and sarcasm in her voice when she said I'll gladly give you my name because she knew the office manager would back her up. She told me she's the hygienist and she makes the decisions and that I am no longer a patient. I called to speak to the office manager who heard my side of it and then proceeded to tell me that she will speak to Dr. Lam (who has been my dentist since I was a kid) and the hygienist and give me a call back. I waited 3 weeks. No call back. I finally called back and the office manager claimed she was with a patient and never called back. They do not care about their patients. They only protect their employees. I am very disappointed in this dental clinic and I do not recommend them. Their form of communication is extremely rude from the first incident to this. I was not going to put a review but when they avoid reaching back out it shows they would rather have the review than chat with me about the situation. If they were thorough with their communication over the phone (explaining this will be a deep cleaning not a regular cleaning), I would not have been upset. However, they chose not to disclose that information over the phone. It felt like they were trying to get money out of me and they know if they mention that over the phone the patient may not make the appt. So instead they chose to keep it to themselves until I walked in. Additionally, when someone says they do not have money, most places would start talking about paying later or payment options or financial aid. None of that was discussed with me. It's sad they cannot call their patient back. But after this experience I do not recommend going here. There are MUCH better places in Pleasanton to go to, with nicer staff.

I'm so grateful for Dr. Lam and his amazing staff! From the hygienists to the front desk lady, they are so welcoming and willing to help. I didn't want to admit how much anxiety I had visiting a dentist office, but all of my worries and confusions decipitated as soon as I talked to the doctor. It's been years since I've felt empathy or felt heard by medical staff. The building is very clean and my wait time has never been more than 5 minutes! Absolutely recommend!

Had my 4 wisdom teeth removed finally! Because of my age I was given “worst case scenario” for each tooth which was understandable and peaked my anxiety but the laughing gas definitely helped ease my worries. During the procedure I was calmly told the sounds I was about to hear (cracking, etc.). Had my teeth removed a little after 10am, picked up my medication from my pharmacy right after and was back at work by 7pm the same day with no further issues. I found Persimmon Dental Care through positive online reviews, so I thought it my good duty to add my review. 🙂 All the staff are so nice, and Dr. Giang is soo knowledgeable and patient in explaining everything and answering questions. Had 3 fillings done today by Dr. Giang, and while of course I was dreading it, it went as well as it could have, it was very reassuring to understand what was going on, and was a very well done application of local anesthesia so I felt nothing. So thankful that they take Delta Dental's basic plan (our previous dental office, which we loved, only allowed the premiere plan to cover 100% of cleanings and exams, so it was too expensive for us). So thankful for access to excellent dental care in the neighborhood! Thank you!

I had a very good experience at the dental office. Safety measures are in place so I felt very safe. The staff and Dr. Lam are very friendly and make sure you are comfortable. I was able to watch the Food Channel while awaiting my teeth cleaning and exam. The operator ones are modern and very clean and the dental hygienist cleaned everything with alcohol as she proceeded with the X-rays and teeth cleaning. Superb bedside manner. Dr. Lam shows the x-rays on the overhead screen and explains to me what I need to work on and improve. He is very patient and ask if I have any questions or concerns. I've been seeing him for years and I would follow him where every he goes because I know that it's hard to find a good dentist. Since I've found him, I have looked no where else. Great experience every time I come here. I also bring my 3 kids and they do a great job working with the kids. Dr Giang is so kind and you can tell he really cares about his patients. He takes the time to discuss any concerns and never appears rushed to move on to the next patient. Today I walked into Persimmon Dental Care for the first time with an excruciatingly painful, infected and exposed wisdom tooth. After calling and being refused by at least 7 dentists and oral surgeons for an emergency extraction, I felt completely helpless. After hearing from multiple oral surgeons that I would first need x-rays, and having had a great referral from our family's trusted orthodontist (Olympic Orthodontics), I called Persimmon Dental Care, who took my call and agreed to see me within the hour! I immediately felt such a boost of morale and relief knowing that someone finally wanted to help me get out of the immense and unrelenting pain I was in! Dr. Giang saw me immediately once I arrived, took x-rays, and laid out my options clearly and unbiased (not swaying me one way or another -- I have had dentists with hidden agendas in the past, Dr. Giang is not one of those!). After patiently allowing me to come to a decision Dr. Giang agreed to extract my exposed wisdom tooth on the spot and set me up with an appointment with an oral surgeon to extract the 3 wisdom teeth that were still impacted in my gums. In the hours following I was absolutely thrilled that I made this decision. I would never have guessed that pulling out a gigantic wisdom tooth that had caused me so much pain would have been so easy. It took seconds! Dr. Giang and the rest of the amazing staff at Persimmon Dental Care put my mind at ease, made me laugh, and most importantly took my pain away. Being that there was no anesthesia involved (only novacaine), I could not have built up the courage to take this leap of faith without their warmth, compassion, and sincerity. I will absolutely be referring my family and friends to Dr. Giang in the future! THANK YOU PERSIMMON DENTAL CARE!

I only had less than a month to do two crowns before current benefit expired and they managed that no problem. The entire treatment procedure was easy. I brought my two kids to see Dr. Giang. They had a great experience, watched TV the whole time, and chose an item out of the toy box. The sweet clay giraffe figurine my daughter chose and painted is so beautiful that it's in our display cabinet as a treasured art piece. I even sent Sandra (the kind receptionist) a picture of it. So I signed up for an appt and discovered Dr. Giang is also very thorough in explaining what's going to happen, which I really appreciate. I'll admit the dentist can be a scary place for most people. It's hard to find a really good dentist who is able to do the right thing without making you do an unnecessary procedure. If your looking for that then you have the wrong place because you won't find that here at Persimmon Dental office. Dr. Charles T. Giang is very knowledgeable and takes pride in what he does. You can see how he really cares for his patients. I came to see Dr. Charles after I was told I needed a root cannel by another dentist (I needed a second opinion). My tooth had been hurting for so long and I couldn't bare it anymore. The other dentist just seemed as though he wasn't looking out for my best interest. But Dr. Charles was able to identify that it was my wisdom tooth that needed to be extracted. Within a few minutes he had extracted my wisdom tooth (no pain!). I was really impressed because I didn't have that experience my first time when I had my other two taken out many years ago by another dentist. His staff is extremely friendly and go above any beyond as well. Lida is my favorite, I love her personality so I especially like to go on days when she's there! I have finally found the dentist I had been looking for and I always look forward to my appointments because the dentist isn't a scary place anymore! 🙂

If you want your dentist to just get you in and get you out quickly, this may not be the place for you. If you are looking for the best and most conscientious possible care for your teeth, then Persimmon Dental should be at the top of your list. The Persimmon Dental Group is recent to me, but Dr. Mike is not. I've been going to him for about 15 years now, and he has always delivered great care with a very gentle touch. Additionally, his commitment to perfection means that I KNOW I will not be leaving without a perfect finish to the experience, which will include the procedure itself and some follow-up suggestions for care after the treatment. Additionally, the diagnostic equipment and the assistants at the office are top-notch, further reinforcing the notion that this organization is FULLY committed to the highest level of care, from staying current on the latest diagnostic and imaging technologies to the best possible staffing. On a daily basis, I am responsible for taking good care of my teeth and gums. On a macro level, I am happy to let Persimmon Dental take good care of them - and they do it well.

Dr.Giang was aware of my anxiety and immediately put me at ease by being upfront with me about the steps needed to repair the damage that had been done over time. My first procedure was a root canal and being 100% honest it wasn't bad. Dr.Giang is gentle, patient, thorough and honest. His assistant is probably the most pleasant and sweet person (she held my hand 🙂 ) I've ever met and the office staff is very welcoming. My family & I've been happy customers of Dr. Giang for many years. Everyone is friendly. Quality of excellent service is consistent with each visit. All brand new dental equipment, impressive overhead TVs installed on each stations. Awesome! I also highly recommend Dr. Tancio for your choice of dentist. Adriane truly enjoys her job. She takes great care in making it a pleasant visit at the dentist.

Dr. Tancio has been my dentist for well over 10 years and I intend to keep it that way until he retires! You will find yourself at ease and even laughing with him throughout your appointment. He is gentle, attentive and does the highest quality of work (I know, because I've had everything from an infected gum to dental implants and everything in between with him). As for the dental office, it is BRAND new. I followed Dr. Tancio from his previous office and I really love what he has done in this place. There is a small fridge with water bottles and hot coffee when you first walk in! Staff is super sweet. There is a medium sized flat screen t.v. over each chair. Everything is clean and attractive. What more do you want? Give this place a try you will be SO glad you did!

Dr. Michael Tancio, has been my dentist since 2003 @ the previous dental group he worked at. You go east or west, he's simply the best! In my opinion, he's sort of a 'mouth whisperer'. He'll find the problems, you might not even know - which are might bother you, in a near future. When it comes to treating your teeth, he's really a 'gentleman'.
