Emergency Dentist in Dublin
Are you in pain? A toothache can be one of the most uncomfortable situations a person can experience. If you live in Dublin and need to find an emergency dentist, we invite you to call Persimmon Dental Care right away.
Let us know how soon you can arrive at our office. We strive to provide immediate, same-day emergency exams to new and existing patients alike. When you call, our team will prepare for your arrival so that we can accommodate you as quickly as possible.
In some situations, we can even start treatment on the very same day. The first thing though, is to evaluate your tooth, get you out of pain, and find out what steps to take next.
After Hours Emergencies
If you’re calling us after normal business hours, your call will be forwarded to a messaging system. This will then send a transcript of your call directly to our emergency dentist on call so that he can reply to you, even if it’s at night or on the weekend. In most cases, we can walk you through what to do until we’re able to see you in our office on the next business day.
Common Dental Emergencies We See
Broken and Cracked Teeth — Chipped or avulsed (knocked out) teeth need to be treated right away. If possible, find the missing tooth fragment and gently rinse away any visible debris. Do not scrub it clean. Store the tooth in a cup of milk and bring it straight to our office.
Abscessed Teeth — A “pimple” along the gums near your tooth is usually an indication that the tooth has abscessed and will need a root canal. Take an anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen to relieve swelling and discomfort.
Crowns Falling Off — Be sure to locate your crown and store it in a zip-top bag so that you do not accidentally lose it. If it is on a front tooth, you can use temporary store-bought cement to “bond” the crown temporarily until you make it to our office.
In pain? Call our Dublin family dentist immediately.
At Persimmon Dental Care, we provide gentle root canal treatments on even the most apprehensive of individuals. If you’re nervous about getting such a treatment done, we’re more than happy to discuss options such as sedation dentistry to help you relax.
